Feodosija (Teodoziia) Bryzh was born in Berezhnytsa village (Rivne district) in 1929, February 28, in a peasant's family. Her father was a leader of "Prosvita" society for a long time, then he participated in I World War and was injured. Thanks to his postwar pension he could keep the family and pay for his children's education. During II World War he was a business executive of UIA. After the war he was sent to Siberia. His wife and young Teodozija were prisoned in Sarny. Later Teodozija managed to graduate from Sarny secondary school and enter Lviv Institute of Applied Sciences. After graduating from the Institute Teodozija worked as a master of monumental sculpture. Nowadays there are 26 bronze sculptures made by T. Bryzh in Western Ukraine. And among them there are three different sculptures of Danylo Halytsky, and also, those of Yuriy Drohobych (Kotermak), princes Sviatoslav and Jaroslav Mudryy, Solomia Krushelnytska, Taras Shevchenko, etc. The work over images of Lesya Ukrainka's 'Lisova pisnya (Forest Song)' is a separate page in her creative work.
