Description:
It is the art project of Oles Dzyndra, the Lviv artist. The museum was founded in 1992 in the building of the former Bernardine monastery. The Museum ideology is to collect and to exhibit the ideas in the field of actual art, including the virtual creative energy connected with the imitative process and search for new methods in the dialogue "artist-spectator".

Nowadays the art exhibitions, festivals, plein-airs, symposiums and various cultural projects are held here. After 19 years of the museum's activities it became the base for the realization of the great ammount of social and cultural projects, now widely-known in the world.

'KinoLev' is the annual international festival of independent cinema. Its aim is to popularize intellectual Ukrainian and world cinema, to support the young producers and to promote Lviv as the cultural capital of Ukraine.

'Bernardengarden' is the annual international architectural student plein-air. Its aim is to attract public attention to the problem of Lviv old site development and to find the way of preservation the historical city heritage. This independent plein-air — competition is held to find out the best town planning idea and to get the wide palette of architectural decisions of widely-known European schools representatives.

'SkloKoko' is the annual international plein-air of the artists working in the guta-made glass technique. It gives an opportunity to get acquainted with the same conceptual glass tendency in Europe and allows Lviv masters to systematize their searches of "the new" and to add it to the world art heritage. The project realization inspires the citizens of Lviv to be proud of their ancient city, its traditions and handicrafts.

'LeoPoltvis' is the culturological Poltva river restoration project of many years. Its aim is to draw public attention to the problem of the river salvage and to find out the reconstruction possibilities.

'MezzoDrom' is the ethnic minorities festival. They participated in the formation of unique and various city culture. Every year they present their unique national traditions to city community and guests.

'Svyatosnih' (Snow holiday) is the snow sculpture festival. Its aim is to regenerate the tradition of ice and snow sculpture which comes from the old times, when, on the Baptism of Christ in the Jordan, people cutted out the crosses on the frozen rivers and lakes and sanctified things by holy water.

Every year the Museum begins new projects together with Ukrainian and foreign partners.

How to get:
