Regional Historical Museum

Description:
The museum was formed in 1989 by Ivan Matsyiovsky, the first museum's manager. After his death the museum was closed during several years, and nowadays it works partly — only three rooms are opened for visitors.

The ethnographic section is interesting. It presents instruments for flax processing and pottery, as far as it was the basic handicraft of the lower middle class citizens. The potter's wheel and the pots collection are of special interest. Besides, the stand with the materials about A. Sheptytsky is worth attention. It will be interesting to observe the model of Mykolayiv cement factory, too.

The natural section presents the exhibits informing about flora and fauna of the region.

The archaeological section is interesting by the stand dedicated to the site of ancient settlement in Stilsko, and by the ancient arms collection.
