  • Church of Seven Sorrows of Virgin Mary

    The Church of Seven Sorrows of Virgin Mary was built about 1660 at expense of Senyavski counts.
    But in 1888 the church was completely destroyed by a great fire.
    A new stone church was built on the place of the wooden one in 1895 at expense of the local Roman Catholic community and Groedel barons. The church functioned till 1939.
    During II World War the church suffered serious damage. After the war it served as a storage, later — as a power station.
    In 1991 the church was fully reconstructed thanks to the efforts of the local community. Today it is a Roman Catholic church in Skole.

  • Church of St. Panteleimon

    The Church of St. Panteleimon (the former church of St. Paraskeva), built in 1597, is a monument of the wooden church building of Galician and Boyky architectural schools.
    The wooden two-tier belltower with an open arcade and a tent top was built later than the church— in 1760 by master S. Shlokovets.
    The church with the belltower is the most valuable sight in the region. It was renovated in 2009 after the fire. Today it is a Greek-Catholic church.

  • Mount Parashka

    Гора Парашка (Параска) — найвища гірська вершина в Сколівських Бескидах заввишки 1268 м. Розташована на відстані 8 км на північний захід від м. Сколе Львівської області. На схилі гори встановлений пам'ятний камінь. Парашка розташована на території Національного природного парку Сколівські Бескиди. Через вершину проходить маркований туристичний маршрут «м. Сколе — г. Парашка — с. Майдан» загальною протяжністю 28 км. На гору також можна піднятися з с. Корчин, тоді є додаткова можливість оглянути Hurkalo Waterfall та
    Turkish stone.
    Існує легенда про походження назви. В ній розповідається, що Парасковія (донька князя Святослава) була сильно закохана в парубка з гір. Вершина гори стала місцем зустрічей закоханих. Та під час боїв, заздрість Святославових братів, і прагнення отримати владу, згубила дівчину — її було страчено на верхівці гори. Відтоді вершина носить назву Парашка — так ласкаво прозвали люди цю дивовижну місцину.

  • Palace of Groedel Barons

    The Palace and the park were laid by baron E. Kinski in the middle of the XIX c., after he had bought the land in Skole region.
    In the late XIX c. the Palace was rebuilt in neo-baroque style by Groedel barons, the brothers, who handled the local industry. They laid out a magnificent park around the palace and installed a greenhouse.
    Even today the Palace is considered to be an architectural pearl of the region. It has preserved not badly till nowadays, but withour the decorations of its interior.
    Nowadays the local boarding school is situated here.

  • The "Skole Beskydy" is a region in the Eastern Carpathians, famous for its unique flora and fauna. That is why the National Nature Park "Skole Beskydy" was founded in 1999. Its aim was to save and to use rationally the nature complexes of the region.
