The State Museum of Regional Ethnography "Drohobychchyna" was founded in 1940. The former administrative structure, built in 1894, was given over to the museum. Today the History and Nature Department is located here.

The number of exhibits constantly increases. They are: archaeological and ethnographical materials, documents and photos, articles of local craftsmen, tools. There are also incunabulas, collections of china and faience (XVI-XIX с.) and of Italian majolica (XV-XVII с.), and, there are samples of flora and fauna of Carpathian region, too.
