Art gallery was opened in 1996. It is located in the Yakub Fireshtej house built in the early XX century. Only the facade of the house has been preserved from that time.

The museum exposition depicts the atmosphere of cultural and art life in Drohobych. There are paintings of XVI-ХХ с., graphic arts of XVIІ-ХХ с., sculpture, works of sacral art in the museum exposition.

Masterpieces of Stefan Medytsky, F. Molitor, I. Trush, J. Malchevsky and others are worth special attention.

The part of the museum exposition is dedicated to the creative work of father Vasyl Hlibkevych. This is the icon paintings of the middle XVIII с. All the icons were painted for the local churches in Drohobych region.

Secular art of XVII — II half of XVIII с. includes things of counts Lyantskoronski collection: potraits, tableware, arts and crafts, landscapes, graphic arts.
