The museum aims to honour the memory of active service participants from Kolochava district. Local citizens had to participate in various war conflicts, defending different sides and different political powers. Many of locals participated in wars far from their own home and even out of their native land. The significant number of them were on active service in Afghanistan.

All of them are honoured now in the museum, created to keep these memories.

The local exposition displays wide range of weapons from war in Afghanistan. There are also photographs of war participants and historical documents, telling the story of the war. The sounds of Afghan music create the atmosphere around.

By public transport
Go by trains of Uzhgorod direction to Volovets station, then take a bus to Kolochava centre.
Go by buses Lviv–Khust, Lviv–Tiachiv or Kyiv–Khust to Mizhgirya town, then go to Kolochava village. The museum is located in the village centre.

Go along the road Kyiv–Lviv–Chop (M-06), pass Nyzhni Vorota village and go in Volovets direction. Follow the direction of Mizhgirya town, in the town go along road signs of Kolochava village. In Kolochava go along the main road to the centre. The museum is located in the central part of the village.
