Церква Різдва Пресвятої Богородиці зведена у XVI ст. Це пам'ятка архітектури оборонного характеру, товщина стін якої сягає 1,5 м. В її архітектурному комплексі — мур княжих часів, храм і дзвіниця під гонтом. Храм перебудували легендарні архітектори В. Нагірний та Л. Левинський, однак під час Першої світової війни снаряд знищив купол. 2008 року були виділені кошти на реставрацію.

The church of St. Stanislaw is one of the oldest stone structures of defensive type in the region. It was built in 1553. After this it undergone several reconstructions. During the reconstruction of 1888 its interiors were repainted. The entrance tower was completed between 1906 and 1910. In 1912 the vaults were strengthened, counterforts and apses were added, the main entrance was widened. The main entrance is decorated with the elegant portal.
The bell tower is situated in front of the church. It is a stone, two-storey structure decorated with arches. There are stone sculptures on the sides of its entrance.

The church of St. Trinity (XVI cт.) is another defensive structure in Shchyrets. It has thick stone walls and a few small windows. In ХІХ с. the church was rebuilt and it got its modern look.
In 1955-1956 and 1976-1977 the church was on restoration. During Soviet period it served as a museum, now it is a Greek-Catholic church.
A wooden bell-tower was constructed in XVIII c. together with a defensive wall around the church.

Достатньо великий і непогано збережений кіркут (єврейське кладовище) — одне з недосліджених сакральних місць Галичини першої половини ХІХ ст. Це свідок чималого впливу євреїв на історію цього місця. Слід згадати, що цей народ жив тут уже з початку ХI ст. Самі євреї заселяли Щирець, в той час як українці мешкали у сусідньому селі (тепер це частина Щирця). Усе змінила Друга світова війна, коли практично усі євреї були вивезені до концтабору в Белжцю і знищені.
