Mychaylo Zubrytsky was born on October 22, 1856 in Kindrativ village of Turka district in Lviv region. His parents were farmers. First, Mychaylo studied at the primary school in Turka, later in Drohobych. Since 1870 М. Zubrytsky was the student of the high school in Drohobych. Here he met Ivan Franko who became his friend till the end of his life. Later he studied at the theological college in Lviv and Przemysl. In autumn of 1883 father M. Zybrytsky arrived to Mshanets village. During 30 years he was the priest of the local church. In 1892, thanks to his efforts, a reading room of 'Prosvita' society was opened.
The heritage of M. Zubrytsky numbers more than 300 works. He researched every day life of local countrymen of XVIII-XIX с. He also gathered folk songs, folk tales, legends.
There are photo documents and copies of some of his works in the museum exposition.
The ethnographic part of the exposition is worth seeing, too. There are folk clothes, embroidery, agricultural instruments, things of everyday life here. The museum funds are used in studying of everyday life of Boiky.
