It is the only museum in the world devoted to Pysanka (Easter egg). In 2000 the museum got its own building - the original structure in the form of Pysanka 13 meters high. Nowadays exposition contains 10 thousand exhibits - both from all regions of Ukraine and from other countries of the world.
Museum was founded in 1926. It is located in the central part of the city in the former building of People's House. Collection includes about 50 thousand exhibits and represents all kinds of traditional folk art of Hutsuls since XVII century till nowadays.
Museum was founded in 1990. Its exposition contains more than 20 thousand exhibits and is located in 18 halls. Here one can see the history of Kolomyja from 1241 till nowadays.
