The museum was founded in 2003. Liubomyr Lishchynsky is the author of the idea, the inspirer and the organizer of the Museum. The museum exposition contains various and unigue exhibits presenting the history and development of teaching in the region.

It took about ten years to create the museum exposition. Local history teachers gathered and studied the materials that later became the base of the exposition. Today the most interesting sections are:

  • Education in the region in XVI с.
  • Teaching in 1914-1921 .
  • Local public organizations.
  • Education during 1921-1939.
  • Afterwar education.
  • Teaching in 50-70 years.
  • Diaspora.
  • B. Lepky and Drohobych district.

In the museum there are textbooks and class registers of 1918, old newspapers, the copy of the first local newspaper for teachers. The archival documents — the copies of orders of KGB are exclusive in the museum exposition.

Section "Teaching in 1970-1990s years" attracts attention by photomaterials with local teachers' dynasties. Albums presenting the history of local schools are also worth seeing.
