The museum was opened 29 September, 2003, in the house where Mykhaylo Hrushevsky (a famous Ukrainian historian and politician) stayed with his family for holidays and did his work.
Mykhaylo Hrushevsky (1866-1934) was not only a remarkable cultural and political activist, he was also a literary critic and author (made over 2 thousand scientific works). The most signicicant one is the book 'The History of Ukraine-Ruthenia'.
The exposition is placed in two rooms and consists of the copies of historical materials belonged to M. Hrushevsky, his documents, photographs and some of his literary works.
One room is dedicated to the personal possessions of the author. You can see there his chair which he once gave as a present to the village head.
Go by bus from Ivano-Framkivsk to Verkhovyna, get off in its centre and take a taxi or a bus to Kryvorivnya village. The museum is located on the road.
