Worth seeing in Velyky Berezny

  • Uzhansky National Park was founded in 1999. Soon it became a member of the European Federation of protected areas 'Europark'. In 2007, July the Park was included to the UNESCO World Nature Heritage 'Virgin Beech Forests of the Carpathians'.
    The park is located in the western part of Transcarpathians, along the basin of Uzh river. It occupies the area of 39159 hectares.
    The park is famous for its various flora and fauna. There are 17 tourist routes and 5 ecological footways. The most popular one is 'The Arpade Line'.
