In contrast to spa resorts that appeared spontaneously right by the mineral water streams, a place for the construction of Sonyachne Zakarpattya was being thoroughly selected. So the location of the resort is almost perfect. The spa resort is built upon the north-east mountainside of the Volcano chain, on the right bank of Velyka Pynya river, in Tykhy tract.
From all sides it is surrounded with a forest. Along the left bank of the river there is an artifitial recreation park arranged with an area of 157 ha from Sonyachne Zakarpattya to the north-east outskirts of Polyana village.
This is a quiet place to stay. It was once lovingly selected by the Austrian earl Schoenborn-Buchheim for his hunter’s house.
From the spa resort it is 1,7 km to the centre of Polyana village, 0,5 km to the nearest houses in the village and 300-400 m to the river and to the road Svalyava-Perechyn-Uzhgorod. Along the road there are regular services from Svalyava to Uzhgorod, Perechyn, Olenyevo, Rodnykova Huta and Poroshkovo villages.

Guests can stay at four buildings of the spa resort and at hotels.
All the buildings, the main well-room and the balneary are located within 100 m from each other. Medical registry and most of the diagnostic rooms are located in the main building. Most medical treatment is provided in the balneary. In two bigger buildings there are local well-rooms. In a separate part of the main building there is an administrative department, a club and the main dining room for 600 persons.

Meals should be ardered 2 days in advance. A 7-day menu request card is available.
Dietary meal according to 7 different diets is provided.
Guests may choose to have restaurant meals in the dining room for 40 people.
Besides, there are numerous bars and cafes on the territory of the resort.

The major resort factor of the spa resort is the aerated carbonaceous hydrocarbon sodium ‘Polyana Kvasova’ water of Nova-Polyana field, which contains boron and fluorine. By its structure and medicinal properties the water is similar to Borjomi mineral waters. Though the concentration of the dissolved minerals in it is twice higher, the quantity of carbon dioxide is 50 % more, and the quantities of boron and fluorine are biologically active.

Taking into consideration the chemical composition, scientific researches and clinical observations, it is recommended to drink it when suffering from:

By public transport
By train or by bus get to Svalyava town. The railway station is located close to the bus station. Regular service from the railway station to the spa resort departs at 9¹⁵ a.m. and at 1⁴⁵, 3⁴⁵ and 5⁴⁵p.m.
From Svalyava to the spa resort you can also get by buses of Perechyn, Olenyevo village, Rodnykova Huta, Poroshkovo directions along the road Svalyava — Perechyn — Uzhgorod to the bus stop Sanatoriy 'Sonyachne Zakarpattya'.
The spa resort is located within 11 km from the district centre and Svalyava railway station.
The two nearest airports are located in Uzhgorod, 75 km far, and in Lviv, 198 km far. It is about 850 km to Kyiv.
