The museum room was founded in 1992 in Yavoriv school #1 (nowadays high school named after O. Makovey).
It is a type of an ethnographic museum, numbering 150 exhibits.
Museum exhibits reflect traditions and life of local people. Those are wooden articles, decorated with carving and paintings: children's toys, Easter eggs, plates, bowls. For visitors it is interesting to observe woman embroidered blouses, sleeveless jackets, towels, doilies. There are many goods made of hay and rush, in particular — baskets, shoes, hat. The exposition is also filled with work tools and different things from routine life of the end of ХІХ — beginning of ХХ centuries: millstone, sickles, spindles, trough, cradle, chest etc.
All the collected exhibits remind of cultural wealth and folk handicraft of the local inhabitants.
