Today the museum exposition is located in a beautiful building — an architectural monument of Modern style, built for the former Direction of Savings Banks. It was constructed in 1901, the author of the project — Hubert Gessner, the pupil of widely-known Otto Wagner.
The art of Buckovyna of XVII-XXI с. is the bases of the museum collections. The visitors have an opportunity to see cult-objects and secular paintings of that period.
There is also a great amount of folk art and items of decorative and applied arts (embroidery, weaving, ceramics, etc) of ХІХ-ХХ с. Here the main attention was paid to the artistic features of the exhibits, their adorning and ornaments. Thus, the main idea of the exposition appeared — it got the title "Ornamental Art of Buckovyna".
The museum has the regular exhibition of one picture and the stand "Names and Events in Art". The museum staff carries out the research work, organizes different presentations and meetings with artists.
