MUSEUM OF NATIONAL LIBERATION MOVEMENT

Description:
The museum was founded in 2004 for informing and studying of the Main Liberation Council activities and its leaders. The Main Liberation Council was the body of political leadership of liberation movement in 1940-1950. It was made on the initiative of UPA and OUN at the end of the World War II.

The museum exposition is displayed in three rooms of the People's House. The funds number more than 300 exhibits. There are the following sections in the exposition:

  • Kyrylo Osmak — the President of the Council.
  • The village revival since 1990.
  • Pomarancheva revolution participants exhibition.


There are portraits of the Council leaders, copies of documents of UPA and OUN period, books ("Chronicle of UPA" in particular), periodicals, the gallery of portraits of Ukrainian Hetmans.

Entrance fee:
Free of charge.
Working hours:
9:00-18:00, lunch time 13:00-14:00;
closed on Saturday and Sunday.

How to get:
Exit Sambir in Drohobych direction, go along the road to the bridge, then turn to the right and follow the guide sign to Chukva village. In the village go straight to the centre of the village. The People's House is located in the village centre on the left from the road.
