The museum was opened in August 28, 1995. Its exposition depicts the cultural and educational activities of Lepky family, who had been living in Zhukiv during 1891-1901. The materials about f. Sylvester Lepkyy, the writer known as Mark Murawa are of great interest. He was the first in Galicia to translate Shakespeare into Ukrainian.
