Museums in Rohatyn

  • The Museum-monument of wooden architecture and painting of the XVI-XIX с. — the Holy Spirit Church is the doubtless adornment not only of Rohatyn city, but that of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. It has preserved the unique architectural peculiarities of local churches. Since 1983, August 6, the Museum of wooden architecture and painting of the XVI-XIX с. works inside the Church. It is the department of Ivano-Frankivsk regional art Museum.

  • The museum was founded in the building of M. Uhryn-Bezhrishny renovated estate. The materials, illustrating M. Uhryn's life and creative work and those of his contemporaries, are collected in the museum's exposition. The local folk art, ethnography and ways of life are also represented in the museum. The separate hall is dedicated to Nastia Lisovska's person — widely-known Roksolana.

  • The museum was founded in the building of the city secondary school in 2007. Its exposition is situated in three halls. Its main sections are: the school history; paintings of V. Balyas, the graphic artist, the school-leaver; and that of regional ethnography with the materials about tourist attractions and N. Lysovska, the future Roksolana.
