Room-museum of ethnology

Description:

The room-museum was organized during the last years of the XX c. by school teachers and local people. It has been constantly supplemented by interesting exhibits. The museum exposition houses things of everyday life, embroidered blouses, shirts and towels — samples of 20-30s of the XXth century. The icons (XVIII c.) of unknown master are of great interest, too.

There are also a few pictures of Ivan Fedyna, the local artist, in the museum exposition. The portrait of Markiyan Shashkevych is among them. Nestanychy village Chronicle is worth paying attention. Its authour is Ivan Dik, the regional ethnographer. The room-museum is designed with great love. Soon it is planned to open Markiyan Shashkevych museum.
