HISTORY AND LIBERATION MOVEMENT MUSEUM
named after ROMAN SHUKHEVYCH

Description:
The museum was opened in 2004, on the 62nd anniversary of UPA foundation. The museum expositions are displayed in three rooms of the building of the People's House.

All the stands are situated chronologically — from the period of the village foundation to nowadays. A special section is dedicated to the local celebrities.

The Shukhevychi family tree is one of the interesting exhibits in the exposition. The family tree starts from father Osyp, the village priest since 1841. His sun — Volodymyr was the most prominent in the family. He was famous as a professor, teacher, a widely-known regional ethnographer. But the most attention in the museum exposition is paid to Roman Shukhevych, the head of UPA.

Today there are the following sections in the museum exposition:

  • The first mentionings about the village, its everyday life.
  • Shukhevychi family history.
  • Ukrainian division "Halychyna".
  • Participants in Trylisky battle. The reburied in Trylisky.
