MUSEUM OF VILLAGE HISTORY

Description:
The museum was opened in 1999. Its exposition is situated in two rooms of the school building. There is a big variety of exhibits: local folk clothes, a loom, books printed early, different documents and old photos, things of everyday life. The fragment of the interior of the local hut will be of a great interest for the visitors. Here one can see local ceramics, wooden kitchen utensils and handmade furniture. There is also an ancient icon of XV-XVI с. of Moldavian period, painted on the panel.

Some materials in the museum exposition are dedicated to the prominent local people. And Mykola Sukhoversky, professor of Harvard university; Harafyna Makoviy, the first museum manager, and Hanna Dutchak, the poetess, are among them.

All the exhibits were collected by the pupils and teachers of the school. The pupils themselves guide the visitors around the museum.
