Under the Austrian Bridges
Taking part in the tour from the Green Bike Agency, you can see old Hutsul churches, acting Polish Catholic Church, scores of Austrian and Polish villas, and also two unique monuments which are located just in Vorokhta: Austrian railway bridges-viaducts, built 120 years ago, and ski jumps, which function the year round. If you are lucky, you can even see sportsmen-jumpers! To reach the top of the ski jumps you can by the rope-chair lift. Tour rate (which lasts near 4 hours) includes alpine bicycle and helmet for hire, guides' instructing and service, and dinner-picnic in the open air.
The whole tour is carried around the protected area of the Carpathian National Park. 90% of the route runs across the less important asphalted and ground roads with insignificant car traffic.
The road complexity level is for beginners, but be ready to overcome mountain ascents and rapid descents!
Routes:
The Agency cooperates with the Velokrayina (Cycle Land) project, it offers developed and marked bicycles routes around Vorokhta, Tatariv, Mykulychyn and Yaremche regions.
In Yaremche region there are over 20 cycling routes, 8 of them starts in Vorokhta village. Roads are of different complexity levels, different combinations are possible.

Detailed:
Rather long and interesting route which takes the whole day. From Vorokhta you will go to Voronenko village and you will see the Austrian stone bridges. Then you will go through the village along the main ground road following the sign boards, overcome long-drawn-out uphill and get to the church. There is the crossroads: on the right side — Vorokhta route, it turns back to the starting point; but you will go to the left and then go to the right. You will come to the water parting mountain range, from that place there is a straight road to Yablunytsya mountain pass.
The road along the mountain range is rather beautiful and long. First you will go along the mountain valleys and then through the dense forest. An interesting fact is that on the one hand you will stay in Ivano-Frankivsk region, but on the other hand you will step Transcarpathian region already. Along this range lies the administrative border between regions, and 60 years ago there still were states' boundaries. States changed, but the boundary stayed.
You must be careful on the mountain range, because the road is divided into two parallel ones. One road which is more frequently used, is on the right side, it runs by the forest and it is more saturated, another one is on the left side and along the thick of the forest. Choose road on the left side and enjoy your trip! It would be nice to make several stops to taste bilberries or other berries.
Several simple uphills from the forest lead to the house buildings and the television retransmitter. You will pass by it and go along the main road, in some minutes there will be a rapid descent to Yablunytsya mountain pass, it is also known as Berkut (due to the resort name which is located there). On the mountain pass there is a souvenir market, a cafè with Hutsul dishes and other places of interest.
Then along the road (near 5 km) you will go downwards to Yablunytsya village centre. This way makes an impression of a flight, because you really almost do not have to pedal. After passing the mountain with three ski lifts on the right pay attention to the right. There the question arises — to turn to the right and come back to Vorokhta through the mountains or (the second option for those who are tired and exhausted) to move to the starting point along the road with the turn in Tatariv village. According to the mileage the road via mountains is shorter, but it takes much more time and efforts then along the road. But it is really worth it!
To overcome Dil mountain, where ski lifts are located, is possible by traverse on the left side of the mountain, immediately behind the church. In general it is possible to ride out but be ready to walk. But when you manage to reach the top, you will pedal to the very Vorokhta village, overcoming one top after another. Don't miss a marvellous stone cross, it was put there over one hundred years ago, and try to understand what is written on it (we already managed it).
Almost in 30 minutes of cycling through the mountain range you will get to the upper station of the suspension rope way in Vorokhta. Follow the sign boards on the right. Be careful, because the descent is rather rapid especially at the very beginning! But if you are saddlefast in 10 minutes you will find yourself in the river Prut mouth, thus in Vorokhta village centre. The route is over!

Detailed:
Thrilling and rather complicated route around small villages in Vorokhta district. First 5 km — ground road without complicated ascents and descents (look at Under the Austrian Bridges route). But at that moment you will already reach 200 m height. At Voronenko village entrance you will cross the railway crossing and go along the road first downwards to the river, and then to the left upwards. Be ready for a long as a day uphill, just those who are well-grounded and persistent will be able to overcome it without a stop. Landmark is the church above. The higher you can get, the more interesting panoramas will appear before your eyes! It is not bad to make several stops, to lie on the grass and to take some beautiful pictures!
Near the church you will celebrate the end of the main uphill and turn to the right towards the school, it is seen from everywhere. Road from that place leads back to Vorokhta, it is also seen from here. Follow the sign boards and try to slow down, because there are rapid downhills in front! Go down to Vorokhta, cross the river Prut and have a rest there!

Detailed:
The most alpine and picturesque route for experienced cyclists. At the beginning of the route you will warm up and go 15 km from Vorokhta along the straight road, it leads to Hoverla mountain. After the checkpoint building follow the sign board on the right side, then you will take one of the roads upwards. Then there is a very long and complicated ascent through the thick forest.
After you finish it, you will be able to pedal again. You will go out of the forest to the high mountain valley on the left and you will see the panorama of the Chornohora mountain range, it is the highest mountain massif of our country. Then you will enjoy traverse without ascents and descents. You can go to the top of Kukul mountain or you can also go along traverse path, it is on the left. After having rest in the valleys you will move back to the North towards Voronenko village. Then you will have a long and sometimes even rapid downhill, somewhere there are bogs. Be really careful!
Having reached the small village, you will see the railway station, move parallel with it, along the ground road. You will come to the road which leads to Vorokhta, several routes are laid over it. Just 5 km have left to Vorokhta, you will still see old stone aqueducts, small ascents and descents, they look like small hillocks now. After your returning it would be better to clean your bicycles immediately and go to the sauna (but try to arrange it in advance).
