MUSEUM OF REGIONAL ETHNOGRAPHY in Berezhany

Description:
The museum started its work in 1980, September 20. Stepan Dudar, a famous regional ethnographer, a honorary citizen of Berezhany, is the museum founder and organizer. The museum exposition houses the materials displaying the historic, ethnographic and natural peculiarities of the region. Today the museum collections number more than 15 thousand exhibits.


The museum proposes the following expositions for the visitors:

  • nature,
  • archaeology,
  • ethnography,
  • midieval history of the region,
  • 200 anniversary of the high school in Berezhany,
  • literature in Berezhany district,
  • Sichovi Striltsi Organization,
  • Plast history,
  • II World War,
  • culturology,
  • national revival,
  • traditional folk crafts,
  • history of deported Ukrainians.



There is a library in the museum. The embroidery club, the society "Lemkivshchyna" and the Board of local artists works in the museum building. The museum also organizes the scientific conferences and conducts the research work.
Working hours:
9:00-18:00, Sunday 10:00-17:00; closed on Wednesday.
Entrance fee:
Adults — 20 UAH.
Students — 16 UAH.
Children — 10 UAH.

  • for pupils, students — 60 грн.
City tour:
  • for adults — 120 грн;
  • for children — 100 грн.
