Description:
Lviv History Museum is one of the oldest museums in Ukraine (1893). In 1940  Lviv historical museum was united with National museum named after Jan III (1908), and a new museum appeared — Lviv History Museum. It houses more than 330 thousand exhibits displayed in several buildings.

The department 'Historical Treasures' is located in so-called 'Royal rooms' of Kornyakt House — the architectural monument of Renaissance style of the XVI c. One can admire the beautiful interior of the rooms in the late classical style — the floor incrusted by 14 races of wood, elegant stucco work, walls covered with artificial marble, ancient mirrors, a marble fireplace, bronze and crystal candelabras.

The interior is supplemented by unique monuments of the ХVІ-ХІХ с. — furniture, paintings, sculpture, clocks, musical instruments, china, orders from different countries, etc.

The well-known Italian courtyard, typical for Renaissance palaces, is situated in the house No 6.
