Volodymyr Ivasiuk Room-Museum

Description:
The Room-Museum is situated in the building of local art school named after Volodymyr Ivasiuk. It was opened in 2000. The exposition contains a hand written collection of songs and poems of V. Ivasiuk. There are also his father reminiscences, those of his sister and contemporaries. The traditional holiday — the regional children's song festival "Vodohray (Waterfall)" — is held on V. Ivasiuk birthday.

Volodymyr Ivasiuk (04.03.1949 — 22.05.1979) — a prominent Ukrainian composer, poet, one of the founders of Ukrainian popular music, the Hero of Ukraine. He is the author of 107 songs, 53 instrumental works, music for two performances. He was a professional medical man and violinist. He was perfect at playing piano, violoncello, guitar and singing his own songs. He also was a talented painter and photographer.
He died tragically, being at the age of 30. The mysterious circumstances of his death are not clarified yet.

09:00-19:00; should be arranged on Saturday and Sunday.
