Description:

The museum was opened in 2007. It is located in the library premises. The museum exposition numbers 303 exhibits, and 30 exhibits are original.

The exposition informs the visitor about life and creative work of Lidia Lypkivska — the famous Opera singer. Her personal things, school leaving certificate and photos are worth seeing. There are also articles and books that inform about the singer.

Lidia Lypkivska (1884-1958) was known as the Opera Queen of late XIX — early XX c. Enrico Karuzo, Bonchi, Ruffo, Shalyapin were her stage partners.

Lidia Lypkivska was born in Babyn village in the teacher's family. She studied in the high school of Kamyanets-Podilsky city and sang in the church choir. Thanks to her charming voice she was called "a singing bird". Later she entered the conservatoire in Saint Petersburg, after graduating from it she was the soloist of the Mariinsky theatre. She performed in Paris, Berlin, Vienna, Rome, etc. Lidia Lypkivska ended her career traditionally — by teaching future singers.
