The Museum Complex is the largest one in the region. It is famous for its great variety of exhibits and unique items. The museum exposition fully represents the local everyday life and culture.
The museum was found in 1957. Today it houses more than 8 thousand exhibits displayed in 19 rooms.
A large collection of pysankas (painted eggs) is a unique one in the exposition (more than 3 thousand samples). Besides, there are numerous things of everyday life — pottery, embroidery, wooden kitchen utensils, weaving, etc. in the museum exposition.
A memory room of Leon Koppelmann (1904-1982), the artist, and his graphics will be of the great interest for art lovers.
The section of instruments (wooden pieces of XIX c.) has many rare exhibits. And the thrasher of the late XIX-early XX c. and the chaff-cutter are unique among them.
The peasant's log hut of the early XX c. is a separate section in the museum exposition. It is interesting for its interior and the original collection of the local embroidery.
The collection "Granny's Trunks", old wooden carts, radio-, tele- and cinema equipment attract the visitor's attention, too.
Ivan Topalo, the regional ethnographer and the museum manager, has been collecting ancient things for 50 years. He conducts a search till today.
