Museum of the History and Culture of Bukovynian Jews

Description:
The museum started working in October 2008 in the building of former Jewish National House (built in 1908).

The permanent museum exhibition takes 60 m 2. The core of the collection consisits of documents and historical materials, such as photographs, official government notes, documents of local Jewish organizations, private correspondence, and many more. All those exhibits were carefully gathered from local public archives and libraries or brought from abroad. There's also a collection of everyday items: books, clothing, tools, household and religious objects, artworks, kitchen utensils, etc.


Apart from holding the main permanent exhibition, the museum staff also host educational seminars, organize cultural and educational projects and various temporary exhibitions. Guided tours or audio guide option are available.

Working hours:
11:00-15:00 Tuesday-Friday;
11:00-14:00 Saturday;
10:00-13:00 Sunday.
Monday is a day off.
Entrance fees:
Adults — 12 UAH.
Students — 6 UAH.
Children — 5 UAH.
Guided tours:
More than 10 persons — 150 UAH. Up to 10 persons — by prior arrangement.
