Silver Land is a unique people's museum of regional studies and history. It is located in the private house of a Transcarpathian artist Vasyl Tehza who systematically collected ethnographic and historical monuments of the region. Nowadays his wife continues this work and directs the museum.
The museum is not a widely known one, but it is considered to be the best one among the museums of this type. Besides, Prosvityanochka folk group and the Nativity Play work at the museum. Their activities also attract the visitors' attention.
The museum houses a great amount of various exhibits which could be placed in other museums. Its collection contains valuable manuscripts and folk clothes, weaving and embroidery.
Some items can, without doubt, decorate the collection of any museum. The written Gospels (XV c.), 65 religious folios (ХVІІІ с.), an ancient chalice and icon of Transcarpathian painting school, the first Ukrainian Hryvnas, rare stamps of different countries are among them. Besides, more than 200 samples of folk clothes, mostly those of Hutsuls, are represented in the museum. There are also 250 homespun towels, spinners with reels, household utensils (tubs, pitchers, jugs, painted plates). Each exhibit is unique. Ornaments and embroidery motifs do not repeat. The museum exposition is divided into 12 thematic sections.
One can also admire the pictures of Vasyl Tehza, the skillful master. He painted still lives with ancient household utensils, sacral architecture (wooden churches), native landscapes.

By public transport
Go by bus from Uzhhorod, Mukacheve, Rakhiv or Tyachiv, then take a bus to Hrushovo village. The other way: go by bus from Lviv, Uzhhorod, Teresva, Tyachiv or Solotvyno, then take a bus to Hrushovo village. The museum is located in the village centre.
